Blogging Inspiration {Put Your Foot Down Linky Party}

WOW, it’s the middle of December and I have done very little holiday preparation. It doesn’t seem so urgent when I am not hosting any gatherings. My gift list has been drafted, and I should be able to enlist my shop-a-holic daughter to help with the actual purchasing trip.

Are you ready for the holidays? If you exchange gifts with other quilters, be sure to check out my Gift Guide and Fabric Shopping Tips  to make sure you stay on budget this season.

Favorite Quilt Blogs

I began this version of my blog seven years ago! That is pretty amazing. Where do you go for blogging inspiration? Many of the quilters I used to follow have moved on and I only see them on Instagram now. Currently, I love to visit Create with Claudia, she shares wonderful scrappy projects.

Watch our video chat here:

And of course, I enjoy seeing the beautiful projects you share each week at the linky party! I am curious though, do you follow quilters who blog as more of a weekly journal, or do you visit hoping to see project tutorials?

Having a deadline each week to link to others definitely gives me blogging inspiration. As we approach the end of the year, I am pondering what direction to take next year. One item tht will certainly be on the list is a UFO challenge… tackling all my WIPS and PIGS will take months.

UFO = un-finished object, WIPS = works-in-progress, PIGS = projects in grocery sacks

Share those links! I know December gets very busy but having this community is a nice place to escape the seasonal stress. Hop around and say hello. Thanks so much for being here each week.

  1. Loved the conversation with Claudia!
    For your UFOs … I don’t know if you’re aware, but I have a yearly challenge, it’ll be PHD in 2023 next year. The idea is to finish at least 12 UFOs and to not increase your UFO list by finishing off ALL new projects that you start in 2023.
    Happy Quilting! 🙂
