Is it too early for decorations? I won’t have a tree up until after Thanksgiving, but as makers, we know we have to prepare in advance! Luckily, Island Batik challenged the Ambassadors to make Creative Christmas Stockings in November. I got to work like a good little elf.
AccuQuilt Stocking Die
To save some time, I selected the Santa Stocking die for my AccuQuilt Go! I have so many ideas for ways to embellish the basic shape. The cuff is perfect for applique or embroidery.

Since this is True Blue Quilts, you know I dove into my stash of 2-1/2″ strips to make the foot of the stocking.
Then, I selected red and white fabrics to use seminole piecing techniques for the cuff.
I love how everything came together for this Christmas stocking!
The Accuquilt die makes a generous stocking. I think I can make some small pieced stars to include on my next version, or maybe a gnome?!? Let me know what motif you think would look best!
